With all those terminals to choose from you're going to do something this stupid?

It's called paying dues driver and researching. You didn't have to start with Werner. I haven't had a 400 dollar paycheck in years, rarely under a grand. You want to be paid decent and get experience there are many better options.

What about seeing the country??? Y use GPS. Get an atlas and call customer all you need. There is such thing as paying your dues. Unloading isn't all that bad. I've done it before. Get a fridge and hit WalMart you will save tons. Consider not smoking.

Tell then your putting in a notice and then take the truck where ever they tell you.
you say you want to get out of trucking.
Dont do something where trucking will haunt your employment record for years.
    Abandonment is taboo.

I'll say it again. You man up and quit the right way. You think it is the right thing to do, just walk away from the truck somewhere? There are Werner terminals everywhere, you drive in to one, settle up inside, take out your crap, and go.

There is no expiration on some things in trucking.. Rollovers and abandonment are the same level of offense.. Also..just take a search through the archives and see how many people are on this and other sites wanting to return after abandonment.. Trucking sucks.. trucking is also a back up plan when all else fails

Not really, he just didn't plan well before accepting his first job.

Don't abandon the truck. Qualcom a message, "I'm resigning, where do you want me to turn the truck in?"

There's some good paying trucking jobs out there for newbies where you can make a grand a week. Let us know where you live and if you have any endorsements.

You're in a good profession. The economy is still tanking and those new jobs you read about on the news are either part time or 28-38 hr. a week jobs paying minimum wage.

That's the thing though, he does have a way home. He is just assuming they won't get him there. I know at least 6 former Werner drivers and none of them were abandoned.
