Too many of the younger generation feel they are entitled to everything without the payment of dues. You sound like you would say F it and just walk away. People show their true character when things get tough.

    To answer the question yes I think you can make more from the bottom feeder companies because I make more at JB Hunt which people on here consider a bottom feeder company but I'm a local driver that does intermodal work. This has less to do with what company you work for because the people who are local drivers for the mega carriers can make 60k, 70k, some even make 80k a year working locally for them. No what this has to do with is long haul trucking in general.

    It's 7 years. Besides, you'll have to look harder but even with an abandonment on your record you can still find another driving job. It would be better though if you just worked with your dm to get loaded to somewhere near a terminal and then bobtailed it in.

    Can you show proof of $80k yr local with a mega carrier??...I find that very hard to believe
