The way the law works is that if you file a disput, the company who put the information has a set time period to respond. If they fail to respond and any company that is out of business will not respond, the information is required by law to be removed. Fill out the form send it in and then check to see what has happened. If they have failed to remove the bad remark, get you a lawyer and sue.

Or you could pay attention to the stuff that is written on this board about some of these companies. A bit of advice--the biggies are not paying as you put it "the most you possibly can earn". This is why these boards are here--so people can learn what to expect at some of these places. I mean if there are some 100+ pages of "bad" about some of these companies, why would you even consider them either for training or for a carreer? Unless maybe you think that your presence on their payroll will change them and make them out to be something great or even tolerable. Hate to rain on your parade, they are not gonna change either for you or anyone else, they have been doing business like this for years and are not interested in change at all. You know that most of them have a prospective drivers list that is so long it would make your head spin. You quit and there is always 1 (or more) suckers that will take your place. You should look at this site as kinda like consumer reports--when you are looking for a TV, why would you buy the one that Consumer Reports has rated as the lowest one? You will probally want the one that is rated at the highest that you can afford. The same with these trucking companies that have all the complaints. Why would you choose one that has all the complaints from drivers, former drivers and others in the industry? Im not picking you out in general, but a lot of these new drivers are not interested in what the others who have been there and done that have to say, then they get into one of these companies and are right back over here in several months telling everybody about how bad it was, and how much they were screwed. But see, we already know all this, but they couldnt be bothered. We see this on this board ALL the time!

Some of these companies have a lot of problems and are evidenced by everyone you talk to, some are only problems to those that pretty much bring it on themselves by thinking that they know it all when they get there and they are the change that trucking is looking for(BTW, those drivers usuually dont make it)and some treat their drivers like they are supposed to. A driver should look at a company like this--Is the company in business because they have drivers? Or, Does the company have drivers because they are in business? The companies that understand the first question are the one's whose drivers for the most part like the place and praise it, the companies who dont get it follow the second question because they dont get it, and they see drivers as expendable commodities. Sadly there are more of those than the first.

The guy is obviously going through a learning curve and you chose to start busting his chops instead of trying to help. Perfect example of professionals (and I use the term loosely in this case) helping each other. You really have a condescending and better than thou attitude. I'm done with it.

you will not find what you are looking for jumping from one "fast food" trucking company to another -

you have to step up to a higher level of trucking

I was told the DAC report has the same rules and regulations as your credit report. Dispute it and if they dont respond in 30 days its gone. Acourse I would not mention they are out of business thats there problem. Sounds like a guaranteed removal.

i got in my car, drove 2 miles to my home then came back to the truck today and abandonded it again. Will do the same thing tomorrow. Sorry, bad attempt at dry humor
