Though I/we don't generally have an "unrealistic work load", I have noticed that we do tend to drive faster for some reason, especially empty. Almost like everyone is rushing back to the terminal before another driver takes the last bit of fuel, kinda comical now that you mention it. Ha
I get paid by the hour so it doesn't hurt my feelings if the percentage guy cuts in front of me at the rack. Average about 5 loads a day, with 2 hours a load being normal, hardly unrealistic

as I said , more power to ya. I had a tanker driver get real foggy with me one day in Tn. It so happened 15 mins later I pull into the same station he's delivering. I asked him about why he feels the need to run me off the road. He instantly took offense. I told him we can discuss it like gents or I can call the locals and I'll fill them in and let em take it from there. He then simmered down. He told me he's got to run like that do deliver on time. Bet he was 85 mph bearing down on me loaded going down a hill. I was 75 in a 70.this guy hade to be 1/4 mile back when I hit the left lane , 25 seconds later he's up my ace.

Probably one of those percentage hauling non-unions guys. Not that there is anything wrong with that. -
