I love driving at 63 mph. Take my mileage rate and divide by hours worked plus all my hourly drop and hooks and I made $45 an hour. Terrible!

 

My last company who was based on WC, took all log hours and paid a hourly rate of $11hr-

If you made $1300 in cpm pay and it took 70hrs? $1,300 CPM Pay - $770-HRS Pay= $530 Bonus Pay. So $530 shows on check as a bonus & $770 as hours paid. Which equals $1,300 total gross pay.

Note: The 1/2 mandatory break is also payed hourly but does not change the total. The more hours you work the more will show up payed by hour & less by bonus. Which they called a performance bonus.

Are they giving you more or less money? Nope, just a way for accounting to satisfying Cali regulations.

But I saw a issue. Say your CPM did not pay more then hours worked. But in fact pays less.
What do they do? They pay the hours worked because they have too, and on the next check they use your bonus to pay the shortfall in miles driven the previous week. Your CPM will change if you do not drive enough to compensate for hours they have to pay or your trips show on the next pay period, but your hour on the previous pay period.
I was finalizing trips minutes after getting consignee signatures & they still we're getting bumped to the next payday. Payroll always had software excuse but no answers..

 

Got into abf and realized you had to work for a living did you? And now abf is a bad guy because you have to work to be successful? Shame on you for even making such a post

 

If not mistaken , any amount with the word bonus added is taxed at 40% ?

Before I even jumped LTL I knew about the companies with call ins, super slow trucks, cameras on driver, etc. You got to do your homework man.
