Ridiculous OP. ABF is top tier LTL job, but it's based on seniority. No such thing as a good ole' boy network when all that matters is your seniority date. Not a whole lot of companies that pay mid 60s per mile PLUS mid 20s per hour for everything but drive time.

maybe @Lancer 1 hasn't been accepted by the good ol boy network just yet or it just don't set right. I recall working at grocery store with a union no one told me about when I was 18. they went on strike, I crossed the picket line, I had to work, I was let go a few days later when the strike ended. thank you very much

ABF is an LTL carrier. Numbers are a big deal in that side of the industry. The terminal has to show moving so many bills per hour or day, or they get a visit from the corporate office to see what the major malfunction is.

There's OTR sleeper cab 53' trucking and there's 28' trucking. Anything usually with 28' trailers is going to be heavy production based as far as delivery and stops and miles usually turn and burn and don't stop till your where you are supposed to be.

We've had OTR drivers come over and think oh these guys pull 28' this will be a breeze and quickly find out, it's work. Not that OTR doesn't have there production numbers you have miles you have to get out and time windows you must meet, but it's not the same in the sense that usually not all the time, but usually you only have 1 or stops to worry about where with LTL and other shorter trailer work you have 12-13 stops to worry about or your job is to get 2-3 trailers to 2-3 different places over night.

Any thing with day cabs and trailers that can be connected to each other and pulled with one tractor is usually a hustle job.

OP, the companies mentioned in "report a BAD company" and "report a GOOD company" are mostly the same companies. More details would help your fellow truckers.
