    Yah I agree but it's getting worse with ABF using outside contractors, over hiring etc. I think the new guys are sitting way more than the senior drivers ever did. It's March the slow bs should be about over.

    Do they still offer pensions.I was told Holland and YRC new hires were no longer offered pensions.Didnt know if that was true

    In all the 12 years I've been where I'm at, I've never been laid off or had to deal with this "waiting by the phone".

    There are too many other greener pastures for anyone to have to tolerate that crap.

    I think he's working just not everyday. Which is typical for most LTL jobs when you're at the bottom in slow season.

    Depending on where his barn is located. He could be sitting into June before he is working everyday. Because of seasonal road weight restrictions. Placed on many smaller roads. Some as low as 5ton. Preventing anything larger than a 3\4 ton truck from going down them.

    We are busy at 042, using retirees. Board has to be depleted for them to work. Drivers at 462, 064 and 051 saying same thing. Everybody working.
