Running solo until Senor George returns to the Action. Ran down to Hampton and grabbed a LL load headed to Evansville, IN. Tim gave me a treat ... Something not in the NE! Stayed at th Pilot in New Kent last night now I am at the Pilot in Leavenworth, IN. I deliver 80mi away at 9am tomorrow. What a nice stressfree run! I do enjoy running the WV tpke when its nice out. I have fun with it!!!
As far as the illness I have a lingering cough but feel great otherwise. Had a great talk with my ExAbilene buddy Freddie today. Who knows we may see him in green again! -
So drove into Evansville for my 9am LL delivery. Went flawlessly and they said come as early as I want and park overnight if I wish. Cool manager. Got my reload immediately and off to Murray KY to hook a trailer to Forest Park GA. Made it here with 21 minutes left! On my way down Tim sent me my reload assignment ahead of time! I am really liking the efforts he is making to get me preplanned!!! No waiting around... Gotta go gotta go!!!! I have to pick up 2 LTL shipments here in Atlanta then deliver them to two places in Richmond. Easy enough! No word from George... Hope your doing better buddy!

Being unloaded now. Only drawback with the Murray KY loads is that they are break-bulk, not palletized. It takes a goid hour and a half or more to unload. Ironically this customer I am delivering is an identical clone of my former company where I was the Ops Mgr and started the business from scratch. I had stress flashbacks just seeing all those kitchen cabinets. That job almost killed me and it definitely was a huge factor in my divorce. I was unbearably stressed out and miserable to be around...thats when I said lets go tour America with the Green Machine! When I interviewed with Kurtis, Sally and Scott they looked at my resume and asked if I wanted to interview for a dispatch job. HELL NO!!! I just needed to hit the road and clear my brain!!

Oh and FYI this customer AIRFOR here in Forest Park,GA (atlanta, next to the airport).... The appointment time was 0400 and no one shows up until 0500. Also plenty of overnight parking here!

Sitting in Richmond at the first of two deliveries. Both places are less than 5 miles from the yard. Last night was exciting. I was at the Loves off 85 north of Spartanburg, SC. I noticed beside me an old beat up Freightliner pulling a beat up reefer. A hispanic gentleman sitting in the drivers having animated talks in Spanish on his phone. Thought nothing of it until 2 black Tahoes pull up and out comes a K9. Driver detained, k9 alerts. DEA shows up, like 6 undercover cars, VOILA!!!! 6 kilos of cocaine came out of the reefers housing. Watched them test it and of course I was eavesdropping. Drivers were calling me on the CB asking for the play by play. It was right next to me. A couple hours of searching and etc later a DEA guys climbs in and drove off in the rig. I guess they will tear it to pieces! Overheard "...fake DOT number..."
All in all a pretty cool night!5speed, YardDart and Weeble Kneeble Thank this. -
That must have been exciting. I would have been taking pics and videos.... who knows you might end up on cops

Got to the yard about 1530 yesterday and fueled up. Still hadnt got a new load and I stayed hooked to my empty dry van in case I was headed to LL. Called Brett and got a load of brake pads going to Kutztown, PA. Drove OD to Pilot showered and ate back to yard. Hooked the trailer and ran it across the scales. Tandems all the way to the rear and 36000. Had Marlon unload and reload entire trailer. Ran it across and it was fixed. One problem though! I didnt total the wts the first time but I did the 2nd time. 80600. Told dispatch and pull me off it! Chris comes out to truck and tells me to go to the shop they are going to siphon 100 gal of fuel out of my tanks!!Can you believe that crap!?!? So I called Scott to CYA myself. He said stupid and him and Allen smacked some peabrains around. End result I was removed from the load and Chris dumped it in Bo's lap to deal with. Still sitting here with no load as of now...i have hometime starting tomorrow night. Just may logout and go home now!!!
