Ahhhh.... Milwaukee in the morning...do they still have a MLB team?

 

Decent day today 531mi. Backhaul was in columbus OH drop & hook. Delivering to the hummus conglomerate in colonial heights. At least i will finally run US35 with the new speed limits.
Wow XM is great especially comedy. Anyone need an audiobook? I have 30 of them. Thats what i have listened to for 6 mos now.

 

Columbus to richmond and grabbed a load going back up to good 'ol Leominster Mass! At least there is tons of parking. Last time i delivered to this grocery store we had a driver abandon a load so only 4 of the 5 got there on time. Now this load has the call Paul with status stickers on it! I will get up there by noon and go grocery shopping. Delivers at 7pm. Like i said there is tons of parking it backs up to a half deserted mall. Went in to dispatch and all I had to do was look at Jonathan and he laughs and says I can thank him for this load. I made fun of the name a month ago when i did the first run up here.
No progress on the team situation. No prospects as of yet. Im not going to take the first warm body either...need to make sure they are not a slob and have decent hygene. I would prefer a nonsmoker but that may be asking too much. Maybe I should play the lottery...better odds!

 

Nothing like being all dressed up with nowhere to go...i was at my destination at 11am for a 9pm offload tonight. But nice to be able to blow through NYC before 7am!!! Saw a high speed chase this morning in MD on 495 S. Even had the helicopter with them and they were moving!
dispatch already has me lined up with load assignment for tomorrow...get to visit lovely Franklin, VA! I wont get there until Sat morning though...too far with the traffic i will have to deal with.

 

Why what a coincidence! Its cold and rainy in my favorite town of Leominster, MA...I am sooooo glad I grew up and live in the South! This place is old, dirty, & dreary! No offense intended...i must catch it on off days!

 

Left out early do I could breeze thru NYC and over the GW...didnt have to touch the brakes until i got to this svc center on the tpke near exit8, Supposed to drop n hook this load @8am. Might call and see if its ready early. Another Abilene driver asleep next to me I recognize the little terrier thats barking up a storm at me but not the truck #...

 

Over 3k miles by today. Plus whatever i run tomorrow. I have 19hrs left on my 70...waiting for dispatch. They asked if i wanted weekend off and i said heck no! I want a 7k mile check with all those noreast miles! Oh and its my birthday. I ate mcnuggets!
