If you are actually going to do that, might I suggest a couple changes to the training program? First, don't take a student and immediately run as a team. The only thing USX did right was the training, IMO. Run 3 weeks as a solo with student doing the driving and pretrips, with the trainer asking questions and in the jumpseat. Have them complete a minimum number of each type of backing, verified by the trainer. Then run 2 weeks super solo before running full on team. I think maybe some trainers may do this, but from what I've heard, here and at the yard, miles miles miles seem to be the foremost thing. If Abilene wants quality, they need to have a quality training program. I've been thru both types. First company ran us as a team from day one and I can count on my fingers how many times I backed in the 2 months I was there. Pretrip? Never did one, THE ENTIRE TIME!!! Learned more in 3 weeks with my USX trainer. She was good. Patient and didn't raise her voice, even when I did something boneheaded. Takes a special person to be able to train. Anyway...just my two cents.

Thanks to all for your advice and thoughts. Especially Uturn. Your special on your own way. I just want to do more and see where I can get to in the industry. We shall see.
We delivered this am at WallyWorld in NH. I ran to Gettysburg and hpl to the yard. We will be in about 0100. Then take a break.
What the heck? USX trucks are running 70 now. Passed twice today by company trucks!!! A Werner co truck walked me on 84. Struggling to pass JBHunt now. This crap of 67/68mph is getting painful.

Well hey, they did a nice job on the new lounge, no leaks yet. Go see Don T when you get in. He had some shirts that he was trying to give me but they were 3X. Our shorts run a little small so they should fit you, they were button up long sleeve.

Sat all day because Jeremy wanted to go to Brooklyn. Didn't foresee us just now heading to Wytheville to rescue a BH load out of Forest City. Going to be a long night.
Good seeing a bunch of the crew today. The other day I got another QC seeing if I had a Mack key. Went to Bill and chatted about that and he immed gave me one and a Freightliner key. Both Jose R and I have sets so we can cover loads if need be.
I think Jonathan got a perm so everyone start calling him "Big Perm". Hope your reading this J!! Finally some smack talk for you to read.
