Well we were reloaded right on time in Groveport and turned and burned for Petersburg. Passed Terry on 23 and Slideways and I changed up just west of Charleston. AMX driver even radiod to see if we were ok. Nice. The tpke was no fun in a monsoon and wind. Got over on 81 and two hours from delivery and Bo calls. One of our O/O broke down. Drop trailer at Whites for pu by day driver. BBT to Cannonsburg PA. Made it 60 miles before I HAD to park it and let that storm pass. Nightmare. I felt like a skipping stone. Lunchmeat can wait. 2 hr delay on my part but necessary due to bobtailing in that hell. Delivered in Glen Burnie and cruising down 301 now. Jeremy will get his truck on Monday I suppose. I have to get to Wytheville tomorrow and puck up Kyle to finish his training up North.
    Today was a good day....

Sorry your day sucked yesterday! That rain was something. And I only got a corner of it heading thru PA to MI (thank heavens!). Made my HP delivery and got a little shopping done at the grocery store. It was more of a bulk item place, so didn't get much. Will hit Wally World tomorrow on my way back to the yard. Seems like that's all I do these days. Go out and come back 2 days later. Head out on 70 and come back 64. Guess I am going to have to make that conversation happen with a certain someone. People just need to grow the heck up and stop using dispatch as a personal vendetta. And when others, both drivers and in dispatch have noticed it, you know it's becoming a real issue. Sigh...guess I do come by my name honestly, but I sure as heck ain't taking no crap for keeping myself legal, HOS-wise, and saying I can't do something. and all the while, there's another driver on the yard coming off his 10 that could do what I was told to do when I didn't have the time to do it.

Sorry to hear you are getting the brown part of the stick RC. Maybe an eye to eye conversation can diffuse any real or perceived crud. Clear the air.

Took off this morning with a load of Chep's for Gatorade. Dropped there and got Betty cleaned and shined. Hooked my Gordonsville load and pucked up Kyle at the Wytheville yard. Cool guy. Got to Gville and let him back. Did pretty good for the first time at the wheel of the Volvo. He was Freightshaker and Kenwarts before me. Headed back to yard when we are empty. Leaving tomorrow for a LTL load to Maine. 2 HP's and some car place. Maybe order pizza tonight. Can we hijack the grill and do steaks on yhe patio??

Made it to Sturbridge last night by some miracle. Sunday traffic heading North is the worst. Took a 5 hr nap and started my shift at 0145 got to Bangor ME at 0645. They were late. 1 cooler. Kyle took back over and drive to Lebuc, ME. Wow. I couldnt gove him a harder drive. I dare anyone to compare the roads. 3' shoulder drop off, crumbled and frost heaved asphalt winding around anything and everything. Moose, three toed sloths, loose sheep. All lobster shack dreams vanquished. Closed or too tight. Delivered 100yds from Canada. Lebuc is the easternmost town in US. Now headed to S.Portland to get our ladt stop off. Tomorrow picking up in wonderful Stanhope, NJ and lugging it back to the yard. Kyle did excellent so far. Good NC guy. The Mainers love our accents!

Loose sheep? No wonder they don't let Swift deliver there...lol. Stanhope, yay, let Kyle take that turn down that road to the place.

I have been waiting to get loaded and bumping around the forum. There are some really crap companies out there. I like to keep up to speed on the players in the industry. It may be that the silent majority is silent. But holy cow there are horror stories on here. I know that a drivers acct of events is usually emotional and no ones going to state how many issues were their own doing that lead up to being poopcanned for flicking off a 4wheeler etc. horrible equipment, ruined DAC's, etc. absolutely ludicrous some of the stories here. Like the drunk trainee & trainer for USA. Its like "The People of WalMart" site. Thank GOD Abilene screens employees decent, but people are people. You will never find a more unreliable product on the face of this planet than a human being.

Ran back up to Jersey last night and got parked at a WallyWorld for a HP del there. Couple of other Abilene trucks were major late. I was empty and gone by 0830 they were still not there. Harvey even called to ask if I had seen anyone. Reload was in North Bergen at a liquor whse. Guess what truck waited 4 hours for a NJ liqour permit? Yep Ol'1408. Still in the doir with no movement. I could have dhd back and grabbed another important load and been northbound. But nope, Im sitting here on this BUll Excrement broker load backhaul. I am a mile from Manhatten and completely screwed whenever we do get out of here. Well it really has been a while since I have been burned by a broker load so I really cant gripe. Take the good with the bad. But I feel somewhat better by ######## about it. Maybe Im bent because the Pepsi machine here took $3.00 of my money with no diet pepsi given and refunded me 60cents!!! I just threw it at the machine and walked away!! Thats Gangsta style!! I really wanted a diet pepsi.....

Sitting at the dock of the state run warehouse. Then going to the yard to sleep. Maybe get a PM. They extended the mileage by 5k for PMs now. Also for those of you who may not know...Bill no longer handles the time off requests. Your DM does now. Bill was pretty happy about it too.
