Had a good week mostly jersey this week

I enjoy me some ne, however it is unforgiving. Nyc isnt as bad as people make it out. And this is from a country boy who had never been to nyc prior to this and was in manhattan last week

Abilene subscribes to the captain of ones ship philosophy. Heres your load, be there at this time. Routing, fueling, timing all on the driver.

 

Glad that they give freedom. Last thing I would want to happen to me is end up with a company that micromanages every thing.

 

What is 1550? What make? Some what new?

I'm hoping to someday see the NE. I'm sure the rest of New York state isn't as bad as NYC/Jersey? What about Maine? Guess Abilene doesn't go that far north. Hoping Freymiller isn't forced dispatch NYC. I think they told me that.

 

Not from trucking experience but just general travel experience, I know the NE has some very fancy rest areas. This one place we stopped in I think Delaware was basically a mall full of restaurants, laundry mats, etc. on the side of the interstate.

 

We had a saying in the Navy. Choose your rate choose your fate. You chose your job like they chose theirs.

 

One thing to be a company man, another to stand up and not be a pushover for the company as well. Push comes to shove, they'll kick you to the curb like any other company. So I'll choose to look after me.
