I just do my job the very best I can and I don't worry about the camera. If you're not comfortable with it though, I wouldn't drive here because they're in every truck. But I've never heard anyone getting in trouble over anything.

They are recording 24/7 but just small clips are actually viewed... like I bumped a kingpin a bit too hard and it tripped the camera to record an event. And they might do some random clips from time to time.
I actually got an "atta boy" from someone seeing my camera. I was cut off in traffic going around ATL and when I slammed on my brakes it tripped an event. Whoever looked at it must of thought I actually prevented an accident and they gave me a little appreciation for doing a good job. So it's not all ugly bad stuff.
If you are a good safe driver, nothing to worry about... if you are an unsafe driver that likes to text and play games while driving... well, one might have reason to worry... {shrug}
Worst outcome for me and the camera was the Safety Department called me to "remind me" to remove the ball cap after I complete my 10 hour break... LOL
Now I did have a knee jerk reaction to Big Bro looking over my shoulder when I started, I don't think about it much and should I ever get into an accident, I hope it records me doing a good safe job.... (hopefully... LOL)4mer trucker Thanks this. -
A good week for me is taking home $1100-1200. Average week is $900 take home. If that's considered minimum wage, I'm good.slick mick and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

All was going along well on this trip till couple hours ago. Working my way back go richmond and wasnt gonna make it tonight anyway, but see my auto inflator light come on. Stop and check and can hear air coming out and after thumping tires i think i know which one it is. So now sitting at a certain truck in or around delaware getting it fixed. Turns out theres a chunk of metal in it. Hopin he can fix it because i really dont feel like putting it on catwalk to bring back
Theres more to a job than just the cpm or miles. Equipment, lack of micromanaging, and almost no stress, are big on my list here.
Plus its nice making more driving a truck than being a police officer!
And not to be a total conspiricy theorist, but we are already on camera in lots of places, we are tracked through phones, gps,s contain info that can be retrieved, gps for company etc. So i dont really care about the camera. Atleast its not a secretLast edited: Oct 31, 2016
