Hey John, if you think about it next time your at the terminal could you take a couple pictures of the new driver room? Kinda curious how that turned out. Be safe!

Bfl123...u drive for Abilene? I live in Lake City S.C. looking for a company where I am treated as more than a steering wheel holder. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Will do Jason. This has been an ongoing comedy hour, the four dudes they hired to build it were direct descendents from Duck Dynasty, but hey, it's about complete and came out pretty nice.runningman0661 Thanks this.

mommy6, did your husband make it home for home time or a stop by yet?

It really never ceases to amaze me how helpful some drivers are to your fellow drivers. A situation where dispatch (you would think) should have been able to decipher whether a driver (namely my husband) was at his 70 hours or not, and a driver ("Dr. F"....JB) came to his rescue. I am very impressed and appreciative! George really does sing the praises of Abilene. I would add here, however, that it is primarily you, the truck drivers, that are awesome. Once again, thanks, JohnBoy, for your superb assistance. Thanks also to other Abilene drivers (you know who you are/I wouldn't want to offend anyone if I excluded one of you by name) who have often been giving George advice, encouragement, & tips. I hope the management team realizes what a great team of drivers they have and truly appreciates each one of you!!! Be safe and have a great day.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Saw a picture on Facebook of a Abilene truck that burned to the ground in Kenley, NC .. by the look of the picture it started under the hood and when it was finished there was only a frame and rims left. Amazingly the trailer faired pretty well

I saw that as well. Crazy. Don't know who the driver was, but hope he's ok.

He's fine. I stopped off to see the aftermath this evening. I spoke to the folks that work there. When the fire started he was up. Some drivers ran over and beat on his door and got him out just as the truck was engulfed. All he was able to grab was one shoe, his pants and his phone. If that was me, I would have asked for a ride to the nearest church.RebelChick, Rugerfan and bigred81 Thank this.
