I was rolling west on 1-64 between Richmond and Charlottesville, Va saw in my mirror this truck in left lane coming and I mean "coming" I was running 75, he went by me and was out sight in no time. Guess who? ABILENE. Always thought they had y'all tied down around 70. Not this one. LOL

The company trucks are set at 71. The L/O’s and few O/O’s are not governed.

That saddle creek logistics I delivered to in Buena Park CA this morning was a big cluster mess of a place to get into and out of, flat out confusing. Went into the gate I thought you were supposed to go into and get told gotta turn around and go to the other side of the warehouse. No room to uturn without smashing the cab fairings to pieces so I sat and waited and thankfully 5 dock spaces got opened up so I turned around and got out onto the street to go around but get to the other side and there is an island down the middle of the street. Had to go around the block and finally figured out where to enter. Should have played with google earth a little more than I did. Thankfully my pickup at Munchkin in Redlands was straight forward to get into and lots of space to maneuver in.

So, finally heard back and have to take whole new DOT physical because I have been out for over 30 days (stupid IMO since I just did one at the end of June, but whatever) and drug test (no brainer there). I’m going back OTR because I don’t have a place to park anymore that I don’t have to pay for and I don’t care for the new local DM. They gave me Cliff, but I requested Steve & got him. They tasked him with telling me what my cpm would be. Smart move for them because first, it’s not his fault and second, he is a minister (and you just can’t cuss a minister).
The kicker? The pay? Drum roll.........................
    They want to give me——
THE EXACT CPM I WAS MAKING WHEN I WAS SWITCHED TO LOCAL 3 1/2 (or was it 4? I ran local for OTR $ for a while too.) YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, if that ain’t a slap in the face, I don’t know what is. Look, I’m no JB (and have never claimed to be), but if you look at what he posts as far as mileage totals, you can do this little thing called math to get cpm. And you are told that you don’t get a raise for 3 1/2 years and then you make the switch and go back to your same rate from back then, which is nowhere near that, don’t screw up like some of these other drivers do, AND you’ve been here the same amount of time? That’s just dirty. Just makes me want to say the heck with it and find a non driving job because most of these places are SSDD. I’m sure y’all would have something to say about it, too, if it was you.

I have no clue about where you live but is Abilene the only driving job available in your area. Suck it up and go back till you get caught up on bills, etc and then move on.

LOL you’re cute. No, they’re definitely not the only company. Most places run containers around here. Have you seen the trucks that pull those? Not something I want to do. And I am definitely not behind in my bills. I could actually not work at all for a few years and still be good. Like driving and don’t like sitting around. Trying to be loyal to the company that has helped me grow as a driver, but definitely don’t like being/feeling disrespected by a company that has consistently said we’re family and “we got you”.

Sounds like it’s time to call FCC. I’m sure @MidWest_MacDaddy would share his referral bonus with you. ;)

@RebelChick we have a driver that lives in Elizabeth City, it might not hurt to call and ask Mike if it’s doable. Worst they can say is no.
