Making my way back to the yard. Tim is letting me swing up by the house to grab more food this weekend. Finding that maybe I need to change things a little. Not sure. I guess time will tell. Im certainly tired of trainees thinking they dont have to listen, and then I have to be the bad guy. I could make this a very boring truck. Have the shop disconnect the Audio System, 3 hours daily of parking, breakdown, and accident drills. And cell phones are gonna start being locked in the side box. I volunteered to be a trainer amd here I am being the bad guy. I love all the long runs and certainly make more money but my patience is being tried.

Well, finally was able to get out of Florida, but not after having to repower a load going to Lakeland. Got to the Publix store at 11:15pm Wednesday night, slept in the back, was woken up at 5am and empty at 5:30 and at the Loves 8 miles away to wait on my reload. That came across at 9am, I was able to leave at 9:15 and deadheaded 515 miles up to Marblehill Ga to load. Got there at 7pm last night and was loaded and gone at 8pm. I made it to the SC welcome center and went to bed. I woke up with 355 miles to my delivery in Kenbridge Va at 1pm today. I was empty at 2:15 and got a deadhead move the 67 miles back to the Richmond yard. On my way back I got an email from Tim asking me if I had my passport with me. I do, I always carry it with me because I never want to miss out on a good load.
I told Tim I do have it with me, then he wrote me back telling me they have me on one of Marlons LTL loads with 5 drops starting in Dickinson ND, then Calgary Alberta and ending up in Edmonton Alberta. I start dropping late Monday morning and finish up on Wednesday. My only concern that I conveyed to Tim was Christmas coming up. I mentioned to him that I will be home on the 23rd, with or without the truck. He laughed, I didn't. I know they will get me home for Christmas, I'm not worried about it, I do my part, he does his. I call it a great work relationship. Be safe all, God Bless, time for bed, 5am will be here shortly.Lonesome, Weeble Kneeble, rachi and 1 other person Thank this. -

What turning it into truck driving for newbies boot camp? Lol
You w/o a radio singing you may run everyone away. 😃 -
Had a drybox for this one. I ran down to the Loves to scale.

Hey catfish, yes 42k. I get the trailer washout beforehand, scaleout afterwards and drop and hook in between. Great setup, great scenery, no cell phone or qualcomm signal. The land that time forgot. I usually go there coming off hometime.

The guys at North Cove do a great job at that little truck stop, U Turn. Only $8.00 to scale and they slide your tandems for you while scaling. They open from 7am to 11pm. But again no cell or qualcomm signal. I've spent the night there once. That Loves is usually a madhouse.
