You should’ve taken the Volvo. Freightshakers are cheaply built garbage.

I expect that somehow I will soldier on just fine.

Currently in a dock delivering cigarettes here in Sidney, OH. Slept on their lot last night as it was the only way to make on-time delivery at 7:00am this morning. They rousted me out of bed at 5:30am and told me to back into Door 14. It is now 8:30am and they still haven't finished unloading me. They didn't even start unloading me until around 7:30am. Coulda let me get another couple hours sleep.

Hope your clock didn't auto start when you moved the truck!

Steps were taken to prevent such an occurrence. Especially since starting my clock would've been an HOS violation.

Cigarettes were delivered in a reefer. It was a dry load, so I didn't check the reefer unit to see if it would actually reef. Turns out, the reefer was inoperable. Took it to the Knight yard in Columbus to get it repaired, whereupon I was informed that all Abilene reefer units beginning with 55xx and lower are being placed out of service so that they might be sold. Including the reefer I brought in to get fixed.

Seems that the closing of the Boar's Head Jarratt plant has had knock on effects. Between the Jarratt plant and the Petersburg plant, we had enough freight to keep Groveport stocked with reefers. But now the Jarratt plant is permanently closed, and the Petersburg plant can't supply Groveport by itself. Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Delivered rolled paper stock to Humboldt, TN a few hours ago. Picking up Volvo in Byhalia tomorrow and schlepping it to the Pooler yard, whereupon I will grab an empty trailer, travel to Florence, SC for a load of something or other, which is due in Newport News by 1:00pm Monday.

Delivered my Volvo Thursday in byhalia then bobtailed to the yard to grab a Walmart load to Bentonville, Ar for Friday morning but when got there the load was a week late so got rescheduled for Saturday morning. Must have been one of those take it and hope they unload it deals. Put in for a day layover. Got put on the York, Pa turn around again after a 34. Found out today they are closing the WM terminal so they moved all of us WM drivers to Piedmont and terminal manager is going to be the West Memphis and west planner and Nan will still be the same thing she doing. They are going to work out of the Swift terminal by the airport when the yard officially shuts down.

RIP all that remodeling they did to the terminal four years ago. Money well-spent.

Currently waiting to be escorted into the Port of Newport News due to my lack of a TWIC card.
