Hometime sure goes by quickly, even after 5 days home. Today is a day of mindless entertainment, Heat basketball at 1pm, American Sniper at 6pm, then out to dinner with my wife after that. I'm all ready to leave, truck is restocked, clothes and bedding done, and food is prepared. I did my yearly 4 weeks out this last go around, now it'll be back to 10-14 days then home. Time to go play with the dogs out back.

    Connecticut -

Gov. Dannel Malloy urged state residents to get home earlier, prepare and then wait out the pending blizzard.
“This has the potential of setting a record,” Malloy said in a 10 a.m. press conference.
Malloy has issued a statewide travel ban beginning at 9 p.m. Monday in anticipation of what will be the heaviest part of the storm. All state roads will be closed.
Snow has the potential to fall at a rate of four inches per hour.

Snow accumulation of 20 to 30 inches with locally higher amounts, especially across Long Island and Connecticut.
Along with HURRICANE STRENGTH winds coming in off the ATLANTIC to hit coastal regions

Well looks like I'll be at orientation next Wednesday. Had to get a release to Kevin from the doctor after I popped my shoulder grabbing and picking up my 2 year old son who was making a run for my front door. So how often do you guys pick up new drivers and take them to the terminals for orientation? How quick after orientation do they get you by the house to stock your truck? Trying to plan so I'm not bringing a bunch of stuff in and out of someone elses truck lol. Don't want to be rude or cramp their space more than I already would be by being in their truck to begin with. What size are the inverters that are in the trucks? People on Facebook are saying they've put inward facing cameras in the trucks now to record you while you drive, is there any truth to that?

Got my load assignment. Tim is out today taking care of his mom who is having some health issues. Prayers sent his way. Meanwhile, it was a little crazy in the office with Tim out, but Walter and Brian did just fine.

My load assignment was a deadhead to Augusta Ga then bring the load t the yard. I was going to leave about 3pm. My wife and I went out for lunch and while at lunch John the load planner called me and took me off that load and gave me one that loaded 15 miles from the house in Boca Raton. I'm just about loaded, then back to the house for dinner. I'll leave about 9pm.
