Hi everyone! I got an offer to come to Abilene but I know nothing about them and can't find much online or on YouTube. From the posts I've read, they seem like they will hire just about anyone. Not saying that its a bad thing but I am looking for a company that is not a "bottom feeder". I want a company with a good reputation for taking care of its drivers and that has good equipment and miles as well as good drivers. Were they actually bought out by Knight/Swift and if so is that a bad thing? I liked that they were a 400 truck company, not too big but if part of a 10,000+ trucking company I'm afraid of use being a number. If anyone has any info or has driven for them and can share any info I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Well thanks to JohnBoy and others on this forum and after reading his chronicles about Abilene I have decided to come on board. I’ve been talking with the West Memphis location and I really like everything I have heard and read. They aren’t perfect but from what I’ve read, I’d say they have to rank way up there. I like the family atmosphere and how they value their drivers. I’m excited and looking forward to get to meet some of you “regulars” that work at Abilene and post on this forum. This is going to be a big adjustment after having driven an entertainer tour bus the past 3 years. I’m ready for the change as well as the challenge. I’m going to get a few things in order around home then I’ll be starting orientation in 2-3 weeks. Thanks to everyone that answered my questions. Drive safe and God Bless all!
Lonesome Thanks this. -

I'm sure I'll have some questions and concerns that I'll direct your way. Thanks again and be safe!
JohnBoy Thanks this.
