Bad rubber(s)...! Accidents happen thataway :biggrin_25523:

Jokes aside, I had that same problem with my dump trailer...driver's side, inside tire, front axle on air ride. Must just be the nature of the beast. In my trailer's defense, it was bought with some subpar recaps and I've got every suicide bomber's wet dream on it now...all virgins.

I had virgin firestones on there.... But when they went bad, I put virgin yoko's on. And this is what I get.

I'm still going with Alignment, bent axle or bad tire.

Someone on another forum said something about loose wheel bearings but you'd think the seal would start leaking?

I think it is a problem with just that tire, bad mounting, balance or defect. Alignment problems will affect both tires on a dual, not just a single tire. Also alignments wear the tire around the whole circumference of the tire, not in patches here and there. Bad shocks, bushing or bent axle will affect both tires again. I know you said tire pressures have been maintained, but to what exactly? Differences in tire pressures will give each tire a different ride height and tread to road surface profile. This can cause inconsistent road contact and cause one tire to "flutter" along, or bounce.

I'm with HeavyD as well. Wear on one tire in only a certain place on a set of duals is that tire. An external balance problem (brake drum or bearing caused) will get both tires. Same with a hardware problem, axle or spring and bushing. It will get both not just one.

Go ask for warranty. When they squirm point out it's only that tire and not both tires. Just don't expect much as most tire dealers don't want to warranty much
