I use itemized deductions because I have enough to itemize with 2 houses, rental property etc. The meal allowance is deducted under business expenses which can also reduce tax liability by about 11K and I believe you can also take the meal deduction in conjunction with the standard deduction

How does he like it? Many complaints or demurrers?

He was a driver in the military, 3 deployments to the ME, but didn't have OTR experience so he couldn't get on with one of the major carriers. Eagle took him on. Been there about 9 months. Has bellyached about them since almost the beginning. Wants to move on. Just putting in his full year to make himself marketable to another carrier.

It is hard to say if it is him or Eagle. Each person has their own idea of what they like or dislike in a job. They seem to have a high turnover, which is not a good sign.

Honestly, I don't think that's a very good run. We have better runs than that.

I got a call back, submitting pre hire paperwork now. Say they will set up a road test.

What should I expect for a Eagle Express Lines road test?

Pretty standard. Run through a pre trip, hook a trailer and take a drive.
Are you taking it in Des Moines?
