Thanks wheelholder. It's good to know that common sense is alive and well in this country. I had already decided to go with May if they'll have me. The program they offer new drivers is pretty sweet in comparison. I know there are imperfections with every company, and I have no preconcieved notions of how great life on the road is. Mabey I'll run across you somewhere down the line. Thanks again and keep up the good work!!!!

Guilty as charged, lol. I idle a lot, mostly in evening, but i have a lot electronics on my truck and i could care less, just paying electric bill at home. I just shut off at night, unless too hot.

Ok, answer me this, I haven't had a 3k run in over a year. I'm always available to run, I run hard when I get a chance, I make my deliveries (usually early), I'm always doing favors for my DM and OCM, I don't really complain (except for here), but yet I only average 2000 to 2800 miles a week (11 west or 48)? I'm not sitting Brooks on the porch complaining. I want to run, I want to make the miles, but I'm always stuck doing shorter runs. I have friends I talk to, some have been here longer get great east/west runs but when I'm on 48 I do shorter runs. What's the deal? I'm not a "truck stop hero", I'd rather be driving than bsing.

This is exactly what is happening to me. I have yet to get a pre-plan before I deliver in about 3 weeks now. Granted I have to take a few days at home more than I wanted, but that was for a medical emergency. It seems ever since I told them I didn't want to train for a while, possibly ever again, my miles have gone to ####. I shouldnt be punished if I want my privacy back. Sounds to me Jedi, you and I are getting shafted for not training anymore.

Ahh so you guys are feeling my pain. I think trainer miles are issued as a team meaning better runs. Jedi I may have met you. I asked about idling and I heard the same words, so we didn't formally introduce.Efron, how are the speed bumps coming along? Don't worry a little compound Jr will take them off in a week. I think you caught something from the last student huh?:biggrin_2554:

I'm just sick of sitting around. I know they want to expand the fleet and grow, but if this is what's it's going to continue to be like, I am thinking I will have to start got look elsewhere.

I never thought I would hear you say that. I agree with you. We all collectively are get it done type drivers with integrity and will drive all the miles legally they give us.

I got 2800-3200 before I agreed to train...I have sent Plat screen shots of my QC earnings statements...I drive exactly what I report on here
I'm not afraid to question things, or ask for runs...the worst they can say is no. twice in the last 3 wks I've had TWO preplans at once
I talked to another May friend (started the same day as me) 3500 this wk,3200 before that...

My trainer runs same miles as me and has your dm. You got a extra leg with planners. Right place right time, made impression for them. I spoke with a guy from Brooks a senior driver. He says everything happening to experienced senior drivers is typical right now. It feel like the cats away, the mice are having a field day in planning. Something isn't being done pro perly because how do you put inexperiencedpeople in a breakdown position and can't tell the difference in a picture what side the brake chamber and wheel is on vs fuel tank and snow chains. I told him picture was upside down. He got really confused then.

Efron, your a great mentor and roll model for May. You know how to disect this business very well. You know how much fuel based on weight, fuel, and pressure without using a scale ticket just from experience and you were dead on! That my friend is skills, I have not met a senior driver who can do the same without scaling off top of their head. Speaking of heads, someone needs to get their head out and see there are good drivers willing to work and run miles and not sit. Or they will loose dependable people. I can imagine some of the slops that come into training, unsanitary trainees at times. You guys who train, I respect the job you do. I could not do it. I am cleaner than my trainer. No homo, love my band of brothers.
