Joker that sounds normal. Ok guys want to read something more insane. A month ago I free formed my dm about going to Detroit for holiday. I was informed per dm we do not go to Detroit. Ok, well I requested time off to fly then out of Atlanta, done bought ticket paid 355. Got load that delivered.to jamestown, ny. I was there a day early en route, day or arrival, day of delivery I asked about a preplan because I only have 28 hours left and need to he'd back to Atlanta. No pre plan until I was at shipper getting unloaded I send message " I am being unloaded and done in one hour, no preplan yet?". 5 mins later I get a preplan going from fogelsville to Detroit del Monday 0600. How am I going tp get from Detroit to Atlanta on time.? 3 days to go 800 miles. I send message is this a joke? I can't believe I have a load to Detroit, or the timing of it with hours avail. Anyways, its too expensive. To cancel so my dm has me swap in Ohio. Now I have a load going to Atlanta I have 10 hours left on my 70, I don't get hours back until Tuesday and this is drop and hook Monday. I hope Amy can get me a swap today so I don't run out of hours trying to get home. Anyway as soon as I reset I am enroute hope to swap in Atlanta and drop my trailer and bobtail to a friends business.once I hit 285 north loop I will have less than 3 hours to get home, not includi.g drop Monday. Lastly, I met a newbie out of Pcola been soloed out two weeks and driving a 2011 Prostar, w 150k miles.

Not to brag, because it's not the Jedi way, but I can pretty much do the same thing. Efron, probably has more expirence than I do, but I can look at the back of a trailer and get pretty close where to to set the tandems to be legal. I used to be able to tell (my old truck 2718 the pressure plate gauge would stay in one place, this one bounces but I'm getting used to it). You show me a scale ticket, I can tell you how many holes to move the trailer to get legal. I don't mind helping a noob out out by busting out my trusty piece of chalk and showing them on the side of the trailer how to properly balance a load.

I thought my screwed up miles was because I threatened to bust out another driver's connection in logistics (he is/was a ####### who loves to rub stuff in your face once he knows what rubs you wrong, he no longer works for May). May and his DM figured him out before I could say anything (I wasn't going to say anything anyways) so I thought he said something to his "connection" and thought that was why I was blackballed and got crap runs. Efron bringing up the "not training" thing has me thinking....

And Platinum, we are like a Band of Brothers, like the Clone troopers. Not unthinking, unneeding droids. And when I get treated like one, I WILL answer my DM on the QC, "Roger, Roger." :yes2557: Just like droid would.

Platinum, I had something similar happen to me over the summer. I was planning on going to Eastern PA in Sept for time off, right near Fogelsville. Well, I was stuck out east for most of the month of August. I wanted to run west/east and asked why I was doing all this east stuff, was told because I was taking time off in PA. well, a little over a week before I am supposed to go on time off, I get a Mead load out of ATL going to Denver. I said ok, it should be easy to get me a load to PA from Denver. I get to Denver, nothing. Now I'm up against the wall for time to get to PA. I'm told there's nothing going to PA. Then I get a preplan for a load going to CA but dropping it in Layton. I'm also told I HAVE to take, I have no choice. Then I'm told, logistics is working on load back to PA for my time off. I tell my DM that by the time I get to Layton and turn around headed east, I wouldn't get to PA until Labor Day, said forget it, give me my time off in Denver then. Not more than 15 min or so, I had a load coming back Denver. I was so mad!!! :biggrin_25516: It ticked me off that they could deadhead from Dayton, OH to Toledo for a load for their benefit but couldn't deadhead me 90 miles from Denver to Cheyenne for a load to get me to PA.

Are you from Detroit? I'm going in Feb to see a Wings game. Finally get to see the Wings play at the Joe. VERY excited, but I don't trust May in getting me there so I'm flying. :biggrin_2559: Home time WILL BE scheduled for Denver, lol.

I came thru that crap on Thursday night, no chains. Woke up next morning in Arrowhead, everyone going east were throwing iron. Dodged that bullet!!! I've been getting preplans uaually on the day I deliver. I brought a Purina load from Denver to Clack-my-#####. I got a preplan on Friday. Lowe's to San Bruno, pick up Sat, deliver Sun. I got a pre-plan about 2 hrs out. I pick up tomorrow in Santa Clara going to Redlands for a 1630 deliver at Home Depot.

I'm into my 4th yr and I have threatened to leave a couple of times, but it comes down to the Devil you know compared to the Devil you don't know.
