R.E. West in Lebanon has free cdl school and no contract to sign.
I think their cdl school is done in Ashland City.
R.E. West also has the Military Apprenticeship Training Program.

Ok her VA is paying for the CDL entireley so she has no contract with US Xpress, would it be worth hiring on with US Xpress and getting a trainer through them? Or would trucking places require her to use one of their trainers anyway? I was thinking she gets her CDL, then applies at more local places to see if any would bring her on through her military experience and pay her better AND without the forced teaming with a complete stranger, and if they do just leave US Xpress since VA is paying her CDL and she doesn't really owe US Xpress anything. Both the jobs you showed me look better than US Xpress and are a little closer too.

I wouldn't fool with US Express, in her situation
A & R Logistics is a good outfit. She can probably work out of the rail yard in Nashville. She would be dispatched from the terminal in Decatur, AL
    It's easy work.

R.E. West also has local jobs. Don't know if they will want her to do any OTR first or not. Maybe not since she has military experience.
Class A CDL Driver Local Job 50 hrs per week guaranteed
    R. E. West Transportation - Ashland City, TN

Sometimes Averitt Express hires new school grads. May be worth asking about due to her military driving.
Click here > Apply On Company Site
    Averitt loves to hire veterans.

All those I listed have a "short app" so submit those now and if they'll hire her, they will contact her and offer her a job when she graduates. She can apply right now before she graduates.

I know Averitt does hire new grads, but she would still have to train with someone. They have a terminal in Cookeville (I’m pretty sure they have quite a few terminals but you would have to look on their site). They do have listings from time to time for regional and local jobs.
They still send me emails from when I went to school at TCAT.
When I started at TLD they only had 2 female trainers. You could request a female, but she may have to wait.
