Absolute miracle no one was killed in this crash

Cop heard it, looked up and ran for the back of the car. It he doesn't do that, he's dead for sure.

 

BMW went sideways right at the start of the curve. Driver probably thought he could power drift through the curve,Fast & Furious style. Obviously,that didn’t work!

 

Lucky he ran. Probably bruised and cut up but if he'd stayed where he was he'd have been squashed.

 

Update: The “Fast & Furious” driver was a 17 year old in a 2018 BMW M3! Plus he had two other passengers with him!

Seeing as how this happened in the Old Dominion (a.k.a. Virginia), I would expect reckless driving charges and a date with the judge to be applied!

 

Looks like as the kid starts around the curve he notices the cop and gets on the brakes hard in the curve. The back starts to come around and he's still on the brakes, which of course doesn't allow steering. Happened too fast for the kid to control.

Actually the "drift part" was successful, just uncontrolled.
Not a driver, just some normal incompetent life form holding the steering wheel.
bmw's are best viewed when parked or inverted on fire or underwater.
