I went through everything to fix my AC in my 2008 ProStar and I believe I finally figured it out, after spending thousands upon thousands of dollars. Find your ambient air temperature sensor and get it up into the elements. I clipped mine onto the windshield wiper cowl by the top drivers door hinge area. Dig it out, mine was buried under a few feet of electrical tape in the harness that runs under the radiator at the driver side. Some of these sensors will be in the mirror, others under the fifth wheel. But, I suspect the real trouble trucks will have this sensor under the radiator. Dig it out and give it a try. It solved all of my issues after several years of intermittent AC.
