Some say experience is the best teacher. Another said if we do not learn from the mistakes of others we may not life long enough to experience much.
Hate when I learn things that way sometimes. Have stated " Next time I will get in a hurry"
Good luck and hope peace can be with you in a challenging time.

And yet others say "don't go messing around with your truck doing stuff you've never done before when you have an 8am delivery the next day".

Hey guys a quick question. I just replaced the belts, and I noticed that the tensioner pulley on the accessory belt is... wibbling... is the best I can put it. 20200324_233745.jpg
See how all the other pulleys are solid, but that one's wonky. And it's spring is also slightly dancing. Does it need adjustment? Or do I now need a whole new tensioner too?

it adjust its self. i would have checked the pulley bearing before i put belt back on. i would have check all free spinning pulleys too. the tensor pulley bearing can go bad. you can replace the bearing with a press or buy pulley or buy the whole tensor

Or more likely just leave it alone right now because the dealer is closed and I got to deliver in 8 hours.
    These are not adjustable, huh...
Do you think I messed it up by pushing it too hard with the socket wrench hole when I was changing the belts?
And do y'all think I can make my delivery tomorrow, or is it about to go kaput again?

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

Good to know. It's just weird that the fan belt tensioner is rock solid, while the accessory belt tensioner is wibbledy. Maybe it's just getting used to the new belt...
