will do. Will check on it when I get back to the house. I've been chasing part numbers to try and replace what I took off and it's been a nightmare..called the dealer and they gave me a part number on a condenser and it doesn't look anything like the one I remember taking off!

Im not a mechanic , why cant u pull something off a wrecked vehicle ? Compressor and all get a machine shop to make any brackets , or u make it . I know ive heard of people doing it on vehicles that had no AC.
-
I thought of this but my system was complete until I got stuck a while back and the wrecker pulled pulled me put, but when he did my frame horn broke off and it twisted my radiator, broke my air cooler and hood...was a mess. so I pulled off the condenser to get the radiator off and never put it back, then lost it. so the stuff missing is what I took off
broke down plumber Thanks this. -
There are companies that should be able to make new lines and install all the needed
components to make the system work. The wiring would be the biggest obstacle.
Here is a link to the heater A/C manual for a 1997 9000 series.

I don't think there were a lot of changes to the system from 94 to 97. -
oh nice! im going to have to print this out...looking at the diagram of the under seat stuff it all looks very similar from what i remember off the top of my head. thanks a ton. im guessing my plan is to get the compressor mounted, mount the condenser (whichever one i go with), then have the lines made to match. will also get a new drier and new pressure switches and thermostatic switch..and what ever little parts i see under the box. reason being all those little parts are fairly cheap.
im trying to get done the most i can get myself to limit any costs IF i have to take it somewhere to trouble shoot or if i cant get it going. surely having all that stuff already replaced or installed will help shop costs if i have to go that route. -
little update, ive got most of the components in the mail and working a gameplan to get them on the truck. so heres the dilemma ive run across and trying to see if i can get some insight. i have bought a wiring diagram for this truck years ago, but it doesnt seem to be matching up exactly.
so, problem 1, the compressor clutch wire. book shows it to be black, connected to light green at some point, but ive pulled the harness loom all the way back to the ecm connector and there is no black, only a green in the compressor area (you can see the green wire in the pictures attached), but there are no numbers stamped on it like mentioned a few posts back.
problem 2, ive come across 2 plugs hanging around im trying to get cleaned up, they are right where the fan clutch solenoid is mounted. im absolutely convinced one plug is the fan clutch solenoid (mine is wired to a toggle switch currently), the other plug im not sure. however, again, the diagram i have doesnt quite line up.
the plug with tan/tan is female, with one tan jumping to the male plug next to it (plug im assuming is the fan clutch solenoid), the other tan goes on the front side of the engine to the top passenger side to a switch in the block. the switch is the fan clutch switch (has red, blue, and white wire). it has the part number 1684560c92 on it.
now, the male plug has a tan/white, the tan is jumped from the female plug mentioned above, the white goes back to the ecm. this plug matches the fan clutch solenoid plug i have seen online. i ordered a new solenoid so i will confirm when it gets in.
so, assuming the tan/white plug is fan clutch solenoid, what would the tan/tan be? book says ac pressure switch but there is a diagram later in the book that shows both pressure switches under the seat?? and if it is a pressure switch, where the hell does it thread into? i know this post is lengthy but the PO took a lot of short cuts that im hoping to straighten out! -
