I talked to a recruiter and told her about all of my moving violations (the only negative thing on my application). She said it was doable and that I would be put on probation for 6 months. I disclosed everything to her, on my application, and to the lady who called to double check my history. Then I scheduled my orientation for Monday the 6th. I called and confirmed it yesterday.
This morning I got a call. It was US Xpress telling me that they regretted to inform me that I could not go through with orientation because of too many tickets. I haven't been looking for another job for the past 2 weeks because I thought I had found one.
The same thing happened to me with Werner right before this. It is pretty evident to me that these recruiters only care about confirming people for orientation so they can meet their quota. The way these big companies run their recruiting depts is just ####.
Accepted, scheduled for orientation. Then DECLINED.

if warner turned you down you got some real proplems

It's all about timing.
The recruiters submit candidates and if they don't need drivers to fill seats badly enough at that time, you're SOL.
Rarely would a company chance someone with multiple moving violations - - you've established a pattern of recklessness...
...and if there were an "incident" the lawyers would have a field day with your past record.
It's the way it is. -
If the record is that bad, I wouldn't even mess with them. Insurance people won't let them hire you.

Try one of the other 749,998 trucking companies out there.
Good Luck !DrtyDiesel and ralph Thank this. -
Ouch. I'm surprised the recruiter didn't run it by Safety first. Good luck.

You're lucky, USX is one of the worst companies out there. They did you a favor.

1) Well if WERNER turned you down that should be an indication other carriers would do the same.
2) Recruiters are just that , they RECRUIT possible applicants , who are then screened and either approved or disapproved for the next step of the hiring process.
3) How would you suggest they handle things , would you be better off going to orientation then sent home for your violations ? -
Recruiters get paid for the bodies. It's up to safety to sort the wheat from the chaff>obviously with your record you're not a suitable applicant to their safety department. Clean up your record and try again in a few years.
FLATBED Thanks this. -
ralph is right, get ur record clean then try again, 1 ticket is do-able, 2 not likely but depends on what they both for, 3 forget it; also if u have a dui/dwi anywhere, don't even bother wasting ur time or their's
FLATBED Thanks this.
