Well look at the curve.Too me I would guess he was going too fast around the bend and lost control.Does'nt take much to overturn a semi. What would your guess be as to how it happened and you too cuya, lol.

You forgot the last thing he said.." We'll ####"!!!!!( your own personal choice word inserted)
Poor bugger,I don't wish that on any driver.

You might need a rocket science refresher course.
The truck was in the straightaway section, and had not even reached the curve.
-
and it doesn't look like a semi. only one set of tires on the back and no air lines.
-
I read somewhere that the difference between laying a truck over, and taking the curve can just be a few miles per hour. That's why it is so important to slow down.Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.

My eyes tell me that curve is in front of the truck. He layed it over before the curve. You still haven't explained how it happened. I'm no a rocket scientist and I still can't figure it out. Also, there's no proof those skid marks belong to the semi as pmracing stated. I've seen gusts of wind knock trailers on their sides. Maybe that's how this happened.

that is the second half of the curve up ahead
looks to me like he took the exit side curve
just a lil too fast
or was still on his phone and never slowed down -
How can I make $70K a year hauling cars?

At the angle the pic was taken, it appears like only one rear axle, but if you look closely at the tires, it appears the second axle (tandems) blend in with the rear axle tires. The non-crossmembered frame underside is puzzling. At first I thought this was a container (because of the separation gap between box bottom & "trailer" frame, but the box has tailights in it! (not on the "frame"). Wierd. No air lines visible, also strange. And where is the ICC bumper??

Was that the exit off I-80/I-94 Westbound at Hammond, IN?

Looks to me like he probably took the exit too fast AND in the left lane, when he realized too late that he needed to get into the right lane for the 2nd exit ramp. There's also quite a slope/grade between right/left lane elevations at the point where he "flipped it".Last edited: Aug 17, 2013
