I recall a 18 wheeler doing barrels at school on a few acres of gravel got away and slid sideways into the 20 or so of us on the dock. Some of us yelled at him as the building took the hit and rocked under our feet. His response was I did not hit *&^%!!!!
And once you got the rig away and take a look see, it did not happen. Ergo lesson in accidents during school.bottomdumpin and Rusty Trawler Thank this. -
That's what I was afraid of.

The trick is to make new damage look old
Brush away the paint chips and water it to grow rust
Carry caulking
After application, wipe it down with a dirty greasy rag.
Cant be new if the shop obviously caulked it.Friday and bottomdumpin Thank this. -

I knocked over a sign when I first started. Went through the whole deal. Didn't effect me at all. That was six years ago. Maybe things have changed, fortunately haven't plowed over anything since.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Ha! I was pretty impressed he made it as far as he did. Nice work swifty! They'll show that pic in orientation and probably give the newbies your advice.... "Just go faster under those low bridges boys!"

Yes that is the Gospel. You hit anything. Anything at all It's preventable.
Ive had people call in and claim I smashed them to the curb when the facts bear out that they brought it on themselves trying to race me and beat my left turn blocking them a moment. Then they are forced to get rid of the speed and hit the curb. That one lasted about two weeks. The only punishment or rather lesson I got was give the SOB the local phone number so he will run up charges not the 800 stupid lol. It's his wheel, he ruined it. -
Don't listen to this, own your crap and be honest. You will only pass it to the driver before you.

You are going to see a lot of (opinions) about the difference between an accident and an incident. Here are the facts. The FMCSA defines an accident in § 390.5.
Accident means—
(1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this definition, an occurrence involving a commercial motor vehicle operating on a highway in interstate or intrastate commerce which results in:
(i) A fatality;
(ii) Bodily injury to a person who, as a result of the injury, immediately receives medical treatment away from the scene of the accident; or
(iii) One or more motor vehicles incurring disabling damage as a result of the accident, requiring the motor vehicle(s) to be transported away from the scene by a tow truck or other motor vehicle.
(2) The term accident does not include:
(i) An occurrence involving only boarding and alighting from a stationary motor vehicle; or
(ii) An occurrence involving only the loading or unloading of cargo.
The FMCSA only has ONE definition. There is ONLY ONE!
If your situation does not fall into the above definition your company is free to call it an accident or an incident. It depends on the company and their insurance company. However generally incidents are in house only and are not released.
If on the other hand your situation falls in the FMCSA definition of an accident they must report it on their accident register and IT WILL FOLLOW YOU!
