It's a lesson in responsibility lol. Having the power and only using it when absolutely necessary is a big thing. But as with all things like that it can make or break you if you can't handle that responsibility. Although I am pretty sure the shop would govern a truck at whatever speed lower then that someone wanted if they asked. I thought about setting mine up like the company trucks 62 on cruise and 65 on floor but the extra speed being able to accelerate down hills when coming up on a big upgrade is nice. And when you catch grandma out for a sunday drive and traffic is tight you can pick up the speed long enough to get around her without causing more traffic problems yourself.
ACT...looking good!

I would like a truck set at 1450 rpm and 67 mph. I am at 1425 and 66 right now. I can roll 680 miles on a day I don't deal with docks at all. I can leave the shop and drive 10 1/2 hours and be in Springfield MO.
Last Wednesday I left Rolla MO and had a drop and hook in Champaign ILL and ended up in Osseo WI for a 680 mile day.
Dock time burning up the 14 hour clock and cutting into the 11 hour clock is what burns me. -
Thankfully a lot of our stuff is drop and hook. I've only went over the 2 hour window twice here. Once was yesterday and it was the second pick of the load. Drop and hook for the first pick and a drop at the delivery. That was also the first time I've done a multi pick here. We have quite a bit of multi drop though. And at $50 each stop after the initial pick and not counting the final I'll not complain. But even the live load/unload stuff in a dry van is sooooo much faster then a reefer. I'd say my average dock time from when I hit the gate til I'm rolling out is about one hour.
In case y'all can't tell I'm bored sitting in an area with nothing to do til morning so me and the laptop are trolling TTR for anything to keep me busy. But about time to fire up the apu and turn on the xbox I think. -

I was wondering about that. I figured if it was in by the time they got there it would be good. I don't really care if it makes it on there or not but I am kind of curious to see what a 3k plus mile week looks like. lol Not to mention I feel I did extremely well on fuel this week. But in the gamble I would get it early I put on fuel this morning so if I don't get it there in time it would ding my already good week.

It is a bit different with an e-log and being a company driver though. If I can put another 20k or so more in the bank...I'm golden. -
