    Hey all,

Is there a web app with an active carrier list that has carrier info outside the normal stuff (CSA scores, truck quantity, MC#, etc)? Does anything like this exist?

    snowfarmer350 Thanks this.

Sounds like a new broker that wants it handed to them. Doesn’t want to have to do any leg work.

The answers to a lot of questions that brokers have are very complicated and are subject to a lot of variables such as seasonal freight. I hate the question "what lanes do you run." The short answer is; a whole lot of them. It all depends on what is moving and for how much. Most small operators are not locked to any one lane, we go where the money is.

Off topic but when someone offers me a load and I cut them short rejecting it out of hand then they ask me "why?" I hate that more than anything.

Who has time explaining that? Not me, I hang up. Most of these people think they can sell anyone on anything and it's just a matter of price. They've never seen the inside of a truck cab and have no clue what garbage they're pushing. Their ideas of good money always fall short. You already know their pockets aren't that deep. There's probably a dozen reasons or more besides the money that the load really sucks. But again, nobody has time to explain all of that.

Brokers reading this... If someone rejects your offer in short order just move on and save your breath.

Sometimes I'm asking that question because I really do have crazy deep pockets on this particular load and can pay you whatever you ask to make it happen.

Sometimes I'm asking the question because I'm trying to determine why a certain lane has flipped or suddenly gotten significantly more difficult. It's a volatile market and industry, and if I can get some insight from a carrier it only helps me operate my business more effectively. Worst case is you hang up on me and we both move on with our lives.
