Update: Fuel mileage dropped to 6.5 on the todays fill up, but I was running heavier loads and had a head wind on a short trip. Another thing I have noticed is that now I have to run the engine a little higher on the rpm's cause the EGT's will run a little warmer 750* post at low rpm. The truck responds quicky if I need to get up and go with no issues though. Basically I just needed to make a few tweaks on myself to get adjusted with the DPF retrofit. Since I am running my own custom file (so to speak), Im just watching the gauges more than usual. All in all, the DPF retrofit is doing better than I thought with the set up Im running. Also, when I see all day long the trucks with the newer emissions broken down on the side of the road, it makes me feel at peace the route I went.

Ca is not enforced. I wouldn't worry about a filter. It'll never Be enforced.

We have just as many pre emission trucks here as we do newer gens.

I would say no. I have straights and I miss that sound. And with the retrofit it creates back pressure even though Im running the R50, the pyro creeps up pretty quickly if your not paying attention. Don't get me wrong, the truck runs just a great as did before I had the install, its just that you have watch the gauges closer and adjust to it.
