I would think the neck setting would have a lot more to do with the boggie setting level then the suspension setting.

Depends on how the camber is set in the trailer than neck setting. Neck setting can only do so much. My trailer I strapped all four beams a few yrs back. Didnt re-arch. Since arch was still spot on. Strapping changed the settings alot. Since I can't flatten out the deck like it use too. I wished I had a module deck.

Xl trailers have the back deck higher at the front than the back so you need a heavy load to level it out, run the suspension low with a light load and back axle won’t air up.
My next trailer will have a shimable back deck.

Not a lot of heavier rated trailers have fenders over the rear bogie so it's kind of deceiving how much arch they have when empty.
These fenders are dead level with the rear frame. The air is dumped in the trailer, and they are just about setting on top the last axle. To run 4 in a row empty I have to jack the ride height up. The air bags on axle #1 will be just about over extended and #4 will be almost bottomed out.
The joys of a non modular trailer... Loaded light you easily gain 3-5" of deck height in the back half of the well. And empty they want to twist on that back axle taking 40 acres to turn a corner. IMG_20180808_152508611.jpg

This is how you get the back level for light loads. This is how my new trailer will be setup.

No, pic is a 12” Transmaster, 8” thick deck, they have engendered a 6” thick deck for me.with 1 3/4 inch of camber.
I want a real 10” deck height, xl 10” is closer to 16” with all the camber the put in it.

    kylefitzy and cke Thank this.

Aren’t you the smart one, never loaded over 20k last year, I could get the 14 tall pieces down to 15 ft high, the guys that bought a standard xl mini deck were 15’4 and taller. No big deal till you get to Indiana and Ohio. No bucket truck in Indiana and no police escort in Ohio at 15 tall, I kept their money.
