Mainly clearance issues. Chambers are in front of axle housings. With long stroke it pushes slacks up against them before full rotation happens. So it won’t get full application. Rod to slack normally on Pete airrides are only 3” long to begin with. There is a reason they make two different stroke lengths. Same with some trailer apps. If you put shorts on a long app you can have constant lock up problems even with light brake pressures.BoxCarKidd and Oxbow Thank this.

Where does one find the edit option though?Oxbow Thanks this.

Well, I've got new cams for my trailer which are Q+ and standard stroke.
Compared it to a same side Q+ trailer cam off of a VS2RA which was probably 15 or 16, and definitely long stroke.
No difference in the head of the cam. Not sure where I got that in my head, but it looks like I was 100% wrong -
Just figure out how to scroll down a bit. It should show up at the bottom.Oxbow Thanks this.

I’m not the best at brakes but I agree 100 percent with this right here. All my air ride Pete’s are short stroke chambersBoxCarKidd and Oxbow Thank this.
