Is it possible to adjust the bracket that is circled? The backwards C bracket that mounts to the cab. What I would like to do is mount my convex mirror at the bolt the arrow is crudely marking . I’ve already done this with my drivers mirror and it’s cut done immensely on rd spray getting up on my big mirror. But on the passenger side the C bracket is to far forward and the mirror hits the breather. So I’m hoping I can swing the bracket back about 1.5”. Just not sure it’s possible. There’s apparently no quality control when it’s comes to the C bracket being mounted at the factory. I looked at 4 other trucks in our fleet 2 were way ahead like mine and 2 were further back. Weird
Haven’t messed with a 389,but on a 379 you have to remove the cover at the bottom behind the breather to loosen bracket. @pushbroom
Okay that’s what I was hoping. I’ve taken a breather off before on another truck to run a new coax and couldn’t remember if there was an adjustment there or if it was fixed. Plus I had a hell of a time getting the breather back together so I didn’t want to take it apart if it wasn’t going to do me any good .
Yeah pop the air cleaner lid and top part off and loosen the 4 Allen bolts to allow the bracket to swivel. The placement of the arm is set by the angled support bracket that goes back to above the door. With out lengthening or shorting it you wont get the arm in a different position.
I don’t see any way to adjust it but I’ll ask the silly question anyways. Is there any way to adjust that or do you have to order up another arm?
