OK, I'm living proof how addicting this business can be. In 30+ years I've done it all, started driving in 1978, got injured in 1983 so I drove a desk-dispatching, moved up the foodchain, ran multi-state truckload, LTL and dedicated operations, then ended up as a specialized transportation consultant representing companies before during & after federal DOT compliance audits, saving them money and helping them get their act together along with some time guiding clients in sales & marketing growth plans then ended up as in a manufacturing organization as a corporate director of logistics was the title they gave me, with a private fleet along with domestic and international moves. I should have just opened a pizza place and been happy but it's been a helluva ride! Now I'm back in the trucking business as a consultant again. I'm spending time on this board to stay in tune with the industry and possibly give some helpful advice to those that could use it.
