Adobe & the new IE updates ???

Do you have the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Vista ? I'm using 64 bit.

In answer to your question...yes. No matter how often I installed the latest version of flash, IE8 would not recognize it as a valid add on. It said it was there...it just refused to use it. Eventually, it "self" corrected. I say self corrected, for the lack of a better term or reason.

My wifes laptop, is 32 bit. And has worked fine since it was purchased.
I also had issues with other types of video playback on Youtube, Not sure of the formatting.

IE8 is no longer in Beta. you might try the update. Although I hate the new release. They moved #### around. And force you to edit your toolbars to remove the "neat" things they included.
