Any suggestion on good schools in Calgary and Edmonton ? Who would be interested in some short 1/wk orientation course ? What kind of price range should I be consider in my budget ? 2000CAD isn`t enough probably ?
Probably the biggest difference that takes time getting used to are the unsyncronized gearboxes. Although I have driven unsynced boxes, but with only 5speeds. 10-12 Gears is a different ballgame.
Longer trailers should`nt be that big of a problem. And the HOODwhich is nice.
Advice for a foregin driver ?

18 speed is most common, you will benefit from lessons it sounds like. $100/hour is a common price for training.

This might sound stupid, but in Europe, are the trailer tires sometimes self steering? The reason I ask, when I was in school there was someone in your situation at school, he was running curbs over all the time with the trailer, yet he had years of experience in Europe. It took the instructor a while to figure that out.

I can rent you a Self Steering trailer that works the same backwards as it does ahead.
