You need to quit driving to make someone else rich and get your own truck ASAP. My wife and started in May 2015 and switched companies at the one year mark. A year later we put $50,000 down and bought a house. Six months after that we put $65,000 down on a new Volvo 780 and have been O/O the last six months. I would say on average we net about $7000 per week to the truck. We were making about $3000 a week as company drivers. We used to stay out for 4 weeks and come home for five days; now we stay out five weeks and come home for two weeks. If you want to get double the pay and double the home time you need to get your own truck. Quit driving for the man and start driving for yourself!
