I've been to a couple truck stops that you have to nose in. One is actually really local to me. The spots are angled so that when you pull around through the entrance, or out of the fuel pump, you have to go nose in. But, because of the angle, you can see behind you before you start backing out, and it's just a straight back to get out.

No shame in getting out to look, usually Somone will see you and actually hop out to offer a hand. I don't get this thing about guys not helping each other, I see guys doing it every day, everywhere.

I also nose in frequently, but only on the ends or where it is open behind me with enough room. If some ####### improperly parks in the space in need, I have absolutely no problem knocking on his door to ask them to move.
