My grandpa owned a trucking company for 30 years so I guess you could say steering wheel holder. No, Not all freight is the same. Cereal is completely different from a komatsu pc490 which is different from apples or broccoli. Box truck, straight truck, different names for the same thing. A 80k lbs (in my state we can haul on 11 axles regularly so maybe more) 70ft semi, would be more responsibility than a 26ft box truck ,no?

Mattflat362, Sons Hero and nitetride379x Thank this. -
In the aspect that all freight needs to go from point a to b, yes it is the same.
We call them box trucks but I’ll specify, it would be a dock height straight truck like a Ryder Penske etc.
I honestly think I can handle a semi after a few months this is just easier to get into and would provide some driving experience even if it isn’t cdl.
Finding a driver would be fairly difficult yes, but not impossible I already know of a couple people that could. -

And the people you know that would drive, they’re willing to take a chance driving for you while you deal with the learning curve of running a trucking business?Sons Hero Thanks this. -
