Advice For New MC

It’s what I wanted to do. Got accepted and a day before my physical and signature I backed out. Biggest mistake of my life.
Backed out because of a girl..

Meanwhile my brother went into the Navy for 6 years Nuke program. He’s been living like a king in Dubai. Me..not so much

 

Yeah, free healthcare for life and prescriptions filled for either free or pennies on the dollar.
I have friends from high school that did one hitch and now get free healthcare at the VA plus prescriptions. They use the VA in Nashville or Murfreesboro. Can get free generic Viagra at the VA.
My father got free healthcare at the VA in Nashville until he passed away. He had been out of the Army for a couple of decades before he found out he could use the VA healthcare.

 

One of my friends in Tennessee wanted to join the Navy. Couldn't join because of a criminal record. He knew I was joining. The Army said they'd take him, but he wanted the Navy.
He was so disappointed and depressed about not being able to join. I told him, I know how you can join the Navy.
He had a brother a few years older than him. He was born with Cerebral Palsy and couldn't walk or talk.
I told him to use his brothers birth certificate, then go to a different recruiting office and join so none of the recruiters would recognize him. I think the first time he went to Nashville and the second time to Chattanooga.
Back then everything wasn't computerized, so it was easy to get things done. Use a military issued Service Number, not a Social Security Number.
Anyway, he signed up for a 4 year hitch and received an Honorable Discharge. Completed that and went back to civilian life. He and I got a good laugh out of that. He still enjoys talking about the good old days and port calls in the Orient.

 

I am looking for MCDOT clean inspections and safety 1 yr of being active. I have an opportunity with a company but MCDOT # needs to be 6months or older. I will buy company that formed MCDOT as stock sale so that entity survives and transfer over ownership of MCDOT. Thanks.

It's great and informative ain't it?

 

In 1999 I went to the Holiday Inn Lakeside in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

I did the plain clothes practice swearing in for the USMC. I was supposed to return the next day to close the deal but I chose Cleveland State University instead.

I am not sure how I feel about that decision.
