If you do this make sure you have an attourney to look over everything and make sure that if something were to happen to the seller that you still have total control over the property so if he passed his family or anyone else had no rites to take it from you or have any control whatsoever or else you lose it all money and property

LOL! I am the proud owner of a full length, Ladies, handtooled black leather coat.. $500 at the outlet stores.. I wouldn't buy it when it was marked down to $250.. (Just couldn't justify spending that much on a coat!) Got the coat 3 weeks later, still in it's plastic wrap, at a second hand store for $20.

What I'm saying is don't get in over your head right off the bat. You're gonna be living in a truck anyways. Flip a couple and then pay cash for your homestead. Cutting property up takes minimal effort. Just good credit and a little smarts. You could have property paid for in 4-5 years that way.

Well I already have great credit, and I do see what your saying. I plan on doing that later on for added income but im not sure if I can pull that off at the moment. I used to do that with cars, pick them up cheap put a few bucks into them and sell them...

At we have a small farm with aprox 50 acres 2000 sq ft 3 bed rm 2 bath hm that i built my self 8 years ago . we took a mortage # 140k just reduced interest around 4 percent i think our payments around 640.00 per mth . the land your looking at 175k is not a bad price, you would do better getting the money your self from a bank. make sure you get title insurance, survey, and power to property. also check on water well in you area. some time gettin power or access to property can be a problem. if you have any questions my wife was a loan originator at a bank for a lot of years she know all about borrowing money for homes and land. just send pm

I thought you can't borrow money from a bank for land? isnt that what someone just posted...

I would love to do it that way But Im not sure to many banks are going to see a 21 year old as a solid investment :biggrin_2559:.

I am a member of a credit union, who was the only one who would lend me the money I needed to buy my truck, but thats allot of money...
