Yeah I will need to look on immigration forums and try find advise from people who have done it. From what I have read we need to get an employer to offer us a job before we can do anything.

And learning how to side hook a trailer in places like Kraft Foods will help you get them away from a wall when surrounded nose to tail by other trailers.
If I wanted a truck that turns like a witch, I would spend money on the old Ford 9000 series. -
Great thread, will be following!
I don't want to get off topic, but OP what's it like driving a truck in Ireland and how is the pay and work days/hours like?
I want to do the opposite of you actually, and drive over on the mainland European continent and go live over there. The only thing is I can't find a way to get citizenship in any EU country, no employee is going to sponsor me as an American citizen. Which is BS.
I would do citizenship by ancestry, but the small Irish part of my family has been here since the 1850's and the French side all came to Quebec in the 1600's during colonization.
To Xheavy1, he can get dual citizenship just like the Jews to Israel and Turks to Turkey, ext. Talk to a lawyer OP but I'm pretty sure there's ways of not having to give up your Irish citizenship. I think you may have to "renounce" your Irish citizenship in front of an immigration official in the US, but that doesn't mean anything to the Irish. So just never denounce your Irish citizenship to any Irish immigration officials, and you should be good to hold onto to both passports. -
Here's a local job; home every day. Terminal is in Taunton, which is 24 miles from Plymouth.

America allows dual citizenship.
Your family here can help you locate an "accredited cdl school" in the Plymouth area or some drivers on here from that area can help.GhentSaintPeters Thanks this. -

What I was thinking about was a few years ago I researched citizenship to Spain. It was the Spanish embassy that made you (Americans) renounce your American citizenship to a Spaniard immigration employee in order to receive your passport for Spain (if you were eligible of course).
But that doesn't mean anything to American officials because Americans have to go through American procedures to denounce American citizenship.
So in this scenario while you renounced American citizenship in Spain, that meant jack all to the American government.
Meaning you'de have both a US and Spain passport.
However, I didn't know the American government recognizes dual citizenship for everybody, I thought it was only for certain nationalities or special exceptions? -
I've lived in China and own a home there. Love that country. Great experiences learning about other countries and cultures.
You'll probably feel right at home in Ireland. My sister does. We're German/Irish.GhentSaintPeters Thanks this. -
