Drain the tanks . Biocides prevents algae but does nothing after the fact.
Inspect the tanks if you see algae on the walls you may have to drain and pressure wash them.
Once you start moving all that crap will be in the filters.

Pretty much everything that was said above. I would also look over the frame bolts, especially ones going into aluminum, very carefully.

Make sure to look in the fuse box. It could be a corroding nightmare.

Unless there is something that is visible, the truck probably has a lot of life left. You might want to drop the pan and check or replace the bearings. That is fairly inexpensive and will prolong the life of your engine. If the bearings look good you may want to wait. That isn't anything you need to do right away. If you don't have a history of the maintenance, you could go to an authorized certified dealer and have them print out a history on the engine. If work was performed at a certified dealer then you should be able to find out anything that has been done to the engine.

A classic is a FLD too.
Ya got yer set fwd and set back axles and two different hood styles with different cowl panels on the cab behind the fenders associated with each hood type. "Classic" is just marketing gobblety gook.
Check for mice nesting in places like battery box, inside brake drums, under hood, etc. make sure mud daubers ain't blocked up any tubes like the blow by. Happened to me! -
A Freightliner with a Set Back Front Axle is a FLD120, which means 120" from center of front axle to back of Cab/ Sleeper= Short HoodLast edited: Feb 11, 2016
