Cones are hard to back into. They are very small in perspective when compared to sliding in between a couple of big rigs, or getting perpendicular to a 1000 foot long building.
As said, get lots of practice. If you are in a class, volunteer to jump in that driver seat first every time.
When I was in school they wanted me to set up the back in the exact same position every time. I wanted to get into different positions to learn more.

Its hard to get behind the wheel in the class-the class size is too big. We watched tons of videos and the time in the yard was minimal. Next week is my last week of the 4 week training. Afterwards we can come in and use the track as long as the next class is not using it. Im hoping i can get some time by myself with the truck so i can figure out what im doing wrong- Sept 4th is coming fast and i dont want to fail the road test. Thanks for the advice. My next problem is what trucking company to go with- they have a few of them i can apply to. If there are any female drivers out there with some advice on trucking companies I would like to be a team driver- please advise. I have heard some scary stories out there about team trainers.

having a little practice plus running a yard truck for several months my advice is to roll down your window and look at your trailer. I never back a trailer without doing this. Driver by the hole about a truck length or so then pull right to straighten then back to the drivers side so you are at an angle to the hole and can look down your drivers side at the trailer and then go slow.
