I'd like to get a tri-axle job hauling roll-off scrap containers. It seems intresting enough.

Most companys that haul scrap don't use tri axels. If they have straight trucks they
would be at least a quad axel or more. Most run 7 axel tractor trailer. Cans run from stretch 60 yard cans to 90 yard cans. It's not bad to do most are factorys and you can set the empty next to the full one then leave. Some times you will need to double switch the can. Eather way MAKE SURE to have the load no higher then 3" above the top of the can. -
^^^^^ Depends on the area your from in the north east all the scrap guys run tri axel roll offs or tandem and tri axel dumps not many quad axel around here maybe 1 or 2. I ran roll off for a year hauling hazmat back in 92 not a bad job but the pay up here for a roll off guy as a new hire is not that good and never lower your hoist lower than the cab when pulling a can on incase the cable breaks ya dont want it comeing through the back window.

yeah quad axles in PA are worthless. a tri-axle in PA can legally gross 73,280lbs, where as a quad axle can gross the same, therefore they actually haul less weight. Local O/O bought a quad axle from down south for a good price, and we can only put 21 tons on him where as most guys we load we can stick 22 to 23 tons on them.

I forgot i live in the land of axels. Michigan has heavy weight limits. I have had a cable brake and it was scary. Lucky it did not go through the cab.
