Don't mention the criminal record unless the application specifically ask's. Most companies don't go back 10 years on that issue.

Usually just cite the basics, tell the truth but give them the bare minimums. What area of Iowa?

I'm in Des Moines. Though once I start driving that'll probably change. There's nothing keeping me here, and I could use a change.

Try Maverick, they may be able to work with your situation if your looking to stay in flatbed. Couple guys out of school went to Decker's refer division. Seen some good in this forum on Schuster. Don Hummer may be an option.
I'm in the Quad Cities and stuck with a local small fleet.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
When I get off I'll go through all the companies in the thread and sort by what they do. I'd prefer to run all 48 with a flatbed, so I'll apply to those first. If none of those work out, then I'll have to be less particular. -
Jones Bros. Trucking in Missoula,MT is flatbed and runs 48 states. They run Canada also, but you can't go there due to criminal record. They'll probably still hire you though and give any Canada runs to other drivers; that's what other companies do.
